Welcome to an overview of my Harmonizer - my 2nd VFX Script. This script is a modular Harmony voice generator that can: 1. Generate x additional velocity modified harmony voices 2. Quantize these voices to scale 3. Strum the harmony voices 4. Choose between an interval mode and 2 different random modes, for adding randomization into your harmonies :) You can get check my github to download my VFX scripts as I release them, with Harmonizer available now! https://github.com/itayelkayam/Sharpends-VFX-Scripts feel free to provide suggestions to scripts or additions to my existing scripts in the comments :) -------------- Stream my music here: https://linktr.ee/sharpend -------Follow Me------- https://linktr.ee/sharpend Contact me: Sharpendmoosic@gmail.com 00:00 Demonstration 00:47 The Basics 02:12 Quantize to Scale 03:00 Velocity Multiplier 03:49 Strum 04:34 Random - Relative 05:42 Random - Min Max 06:50 How to use it 09:51 Hidden Feature :) 11:22 Outro

About This Video

In this video I’m demoing my second VFX script: Harmonizer. The whole idea is simple—take a monophonic MIDI line and instantly turn it into layered harmony voices that follow what you play. I walk through the interface inside Patcher, where you can enable up to four harmony voices, set each voice’s transpose (up to +/āˆ’ an octave), and quickly go from ā€œone noteā€ to a full, harmonized lead without manually writing extra parts. From there I show the stuff that makes it actually musical: quantize-to-scale (or go chromatic if you want it more dissonant), a velocity multiplier so the harmony voices sit quieter than the main note (super useful if your synth maps velocity to oscillator volume like Serum), and a strum control that offsets the harmony voices in 16th-note increments. Then I get into my favorite part—randomization. I cover Random Relative (random transposes within a range above/below the played note) and Random Min/Max (hard limits for the lowest/highest random notes), which is great for generative patterns, from rumbly lows to ultrasonic highs. I also show a pitch-bend example where all voices bend together, and a ā€œhiddenā€ advanced tweak: editing the script constants to change how many harmony voices you get.
