If you have hip pain when walking, hip arthritis, or a hip injury, and you are wondering if you can delay hip replacement surgery, this video is for you. I’m Nathan, your occupational therapist from Skills and Wellness, and in this video I’ll show you the same type of hip exercises I give my patients who are trying to improve hip mobility, hip strength, and walking tolerance before considering hip replacement. Hip replacement surgery can be life-changing for the right person, especially when pain is severe and daily life becomes limited. But if your doctor says you are not ready for surgery yet, or you are trying to delay hip replacement naturally, the goal is not just stretching. The goal is to improve the muscles that protect your hip. Many people with hip arthritis or chronic hip pain keep stretching because they think the problem is only tightness. But a painful hip often also needs better glute strength, pelvic stability, leg strength, and controlled movement. In this video, you’ll learn exercises that can help with: hip arthritis pain hip injury recovery hip pain when walking hip stiffness hip mobility glute strengthening pelvic stability leg strengthening walking tolerance balance and functional movement pre-surgery hip strengthening These exercises are designed to help your hip move better, support your joints, and make daily activities easier, including walking, climbing stairs, standing up from a chair, getting in and out of the car, and putting on pants. This is especially helpful for people looking for hip arthritis exercises, hip replacement alternatives, exercises before hip replacement, physical therapy for hip pain, occupational therapy for hip arthritis, orthopedic rehab exercises, or non-surgical hip pain management. Important reminder: this video is not telling you to avoid necessary surgery. Some people truly need hip replacement. If you are dealing with hip pain, hip arthritis, or a previous hip injury, talk to your doctor, orthopedic specialist, occupational therapist, or physical therapist to make sure these exercises are appropriate for you. #OccupationalTherapy #PhysicalTherapy #HipReplacement #HipArthritis #HipPain ------------------------------------------------------------------ CONNECT WITH SKILLS AND WELLNESS: Recommended Therapy Items:https://amzn.to/4nzDAn7 Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbgzVvvr0hwKFeLBnczqg7w/join Exercises for Seniors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgIVMCnlGsQ&list=PLvSelbjivxk3BnHT2Je8aSBnkwlucnCkH&pp=gAQB Stroke Exercises: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHii94MWaY4&list=PLvSelbjivxk1HbpmmasBZAQHi2IElTGz2&pp=gAQB Parkinson's Disease Exercises: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUHNNhn0MCI&list=PLvSelbjivxk1COV65rAbOORH9W73n2Vru&pp=gAQBiAQB Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/skillsandwellness/ ================================= About Skills and Wellness Welcome to Skills and Wellness, your personal guide to Occupational Therapy.
