In this video I take a look at ErGear’s brand new motorized height-adjustable standing desk and set it up as the main desk in my new home office. I walk you through what the ErDesk is, the size options (48x24, 55x28, and 63x28), and the key features that make it a solid budget pick—like the 28" to 46" height range, three programmable presets, and the overall sturdy feel. I unbox everything, lay out the parts, and show the full build process step-by-step, including the two-piece solid wood desktop and how the frame goes together. After a couple weeks of real use, I go over the controller and how I program the presets, plus little quality-of-life settings like unit changes, collision detection, and sensitivity options. I also test it with my heavy setup—PC, laptop, keyboards, mic, speakers, and a bunch of desk knickknacks—and the 176 lb capacity had no problem lifting it without sounding strained. I do mention a bit of wobble at standing height (especially on carpet), and I wish ErGear included an under-desk cable management system, but overall I think it’s absolutely worth it if you want the best budget standing desk without breaking the bank.
