About This Video

In this video I showed you how I made a Tyla Amapiano x RnB type beat in FL Studio, step by step, inspired by that soft, simple chord vibe you hear in Tyla and Ayra Starr records. I started from the drums using my Safi drum kit—very simple pattern, but what really made it interesting was the percussion I pitched all the way down to the second octave. That one move alone can change the entire bounce, so don’t always stay in the “default” octave your samples come in. From there I built the musical side in C minor: soft chords played with Lounge Lizard, then I layered it with Sky Keys (About Time preset) because layers always add character without overcrowding the beat. I added a guitar loop from my Ahiri guitar kit with delay to give it more life and groove, plus a background vocal loop from my Injari vocal loops to level up the vibe. Then I created a long-note lead synth (Pure LoFi, Furi Brothers preset), a simple counter melody on Augmented Grand Piano, and an ambient texture from Analog Lab (7 a.m.)—for ambience, I like sounds with long decay and real expression. Finally, I locked in the low end with a log drum from Jeb DX10 and a deep sub (Bass 2 MC), then finished with vocal chops and drum rolls from the packs.
