Scenic Drive Through Southern Utah | Bear Ears to Canyonlands Needles District

This video documents a scenic drive through southern Utah, recorded in mid May, traveling from the Bear Ears region to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The route begins on Utah State Route 95, crossing open Colorado Plateau terrain with broad desert basins, mesas, and exposed sandstone formations. From SR-95, the drive continues south and northbound segments on U.S. Highway 191, a major regional corridor through canyon country, before turning west onto Utah State Route 211, also known as the Indian Creek Scenic Byway. SR-211 leads directly into the Needles District, passing through red rock canyons, open sagebrush plains, and notable roadside features before reaching the park entrance. Filmed in real time, the video provides an objective view of road conditions, terrain, and landscape transitions typical of southern Utah in spring, when temperatures are generally moderate and desert colors are clear under longer daylight hours.
