MERCH HERE: Tyre Repair Kits and more: https://4wheeling-merch.com Behind the scenes: https://youtu.be/Z_KOOpGhKFU?si=NPg5Yg_hwDHcf3gy We head out from Wiluna onto the Gunbarrel Highway, one of the most remote desert tracks in Western Australia, with the Full Drop Podcast crew on their first ever desert trip. What starts as a straightforward run quickly becomes a reminder of how quickly conditions can change in the outback. Lightning storms roll across the desert, bushfires ignite in the distance, and extreme heat pushes both vehicles and crew. Along the way we deal with tyre damage, test vehicle setups, and run a real-world vehicle fire survival drill next to a burnt-out 4WD left behind in the desert. This trip also puts the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster to the test on its first proper desert run, alongside a V8 LandCruiser and a brand-new 79 Series. From the remote Gunbarrel Highway to Mount Beadell and beyond, this episode shows what desert travel is really like and why experience matters when you're this far from help. Because out here, things can change fast. And when they do… you need to be ready. About This Video

Welcome to the outback — unpredictable, remote, and this time it was absolutely unhinged. I took the Full Drop Podcast boys out from Wiluna onto the Gunbarrel Highway for their first ever proper desert trip, and it didn’t take long for the desert to remind us who’s boss. We copped record heat, lightning storms, and fires glowing on the horizon, plus a dust storm and rain on day one. That’s the thing out here: you can plan a pretty picnic, but you can’t predict the weather. Along the way I put the INEOS Grenadier Quartermaster through its first real desert run (alongside a V8 76 and a brand-new V8 79), dealt with a freakish tyre puncture that chewed through plugs, and showed the boys why I’m so big on being set up for when things go bad. We stopped at a burnt-out Ranger to run a proper vehicle fire survival drill — 30 seconds to grab water, comms, first aid, and anything that actually keeps you alive when the car’s gone. From Mount Beadell to bore camps, airing down for rough sections, and pushing through brutal heat toward Warburton, this episode is the real deal: remote travel, real lessons, and why experience matters when help could be weeks away.
