About This Video

In this week’s Knit 50 Squares, I’m working Square 02: “The Striped One” from Learn to Knit in 50 Squares by Anna Pantelous. The whole point of this series is to show up each week and “learn to knit” in real time—especially if you’re a brand new knitter, or if you’re like me and you get that fearful-knitter feeling of, “Oh, I can’t do that.” Stripes sound simple, but they’re such a good way to practice consistency, tension, and keeping your edges looking neat while you switch colors. I’m treating these squares like bite-sized lessons: one technique at a time, with cozy progress chat energy while I stitch along. The takeaway for this square is that learning new processes is still the goal for the year—so I’m not trying to be perfect, I’m trying to be brave and keep going. If you want to knit along, I’d love for you to join me weekly as we tackle each of these wonderful squares together, one little win at a time.
