About This Video

In this episode of my Knit 50 Squares journey, I’m working on Square 12: “The Budding One” from Learn to Knit in 50 Squares by Anna Pantelous. The whole point of this series is that I’m learning right alongside you—because I’m not the fearless, “oh sure I can knit anything” kind of knitter. I’m the one who usually looks at a new technique and immediately thinks, “Oh, I can’t do that,” and then we do it anyway. I talk through how I’m approaching this square as a weekly, bite-sized skill builder, and why I really like using a square format to learn: it keeps the pressure low, it’s easier to see progress, and it’s a great way to practice new processes without committing to an entire sweater. If you’re brand new to knitting, or if you’re like me and you get a little nervous trying something unfamiliar, this is a cozy, low-stress way to stitch along. Come join me each week as we keep learning, keep growing, and keep stacking up those squares.
