If the June Digital SAT felt hard, you’re not alone. In this video I break down the general consensus I got from my own students and a ton of you on YouTube: the June test felt way harder than expected—especially because of the adaptive format. The biggest shock was SAT Math. Module 1 was a breeze for strong math students, and then Module 2 hit like “am I still taking SAT Math or did I accidentally sign up for Calculus?” I explain how everyone gets the same Module 1, but your Module 2 changes based on how you did—so if you cooked Module 1, you’re rewarded with harder questions. I also talk about why Digital SAT Reading felt more consistent. Even if Module 2 gets a bit harder, English can’t “diversify” difficulty the same way math can, so the jump isn’t as dramatic. Then I clear up the scoring panic: harder Module 2 questions don’t automatically mean your score tanks. If you did amazing on Module 1, your score tends to be less sensitive to a couple misses in Module 2 compared to someone who missed earlier and got an easier path. Finally, I share the “secret sauce” mindset: don’t sweat a rough Module 2 if you dominated Module 1.
