About This Video

In this video, I break down exactly how to score above a 750 on SAT Math, SAT Reading/Writing—or even both—for the upcoming SAT (including the updated November version). I start with the big-picture strategy: the “one focus approach” vs my personal favorite, the “dual approach.” One focus means you grind only Math or only Reading to push a 750+ faster, but it’s riskier and usually forces you into taking the SAT at least twice. The dual approach is safer: you study both sections equally so you can realistically crack 700+ on both (and push 750+ on both) and ideally be one-and-done. Then I get super specific. For Math, I tell you what actually moves the needle: linear equation mastery (heart of algebra is a massive chunk), triangles and circles, and increasingly common 3D shape handling (volume/surface area). On top of that, you need “quick math”—strong mental math—so you don’t waste time on easy questions and can save your minutes for the last few hardest problems. For Reading/Writing, I focus on three things: lock down grammar rules (semicolons, colons, dashes), take the history passages seriously (they’re the most missed and used to be my Achilles heel), and answer as you go by annotating. Finally, the simplest truth: if you want better comprehension and speed, you’ve got to read more.
