About This Video

I’m officially a Bachelor’s of Computer Science (and yeah, I finished a semester early), so this video is my unfiltered advice for CS students after going through the whole “crazy ride” myself. First, I keep it real about what you’re actually signing up for: the money is there (six figures, sometimes multiple), but CS is not for the weak. If you can’t handle pressure, debugging, and the occasional sleepless night, you’re going to hate the process—and worse, you’ll hate the job when you’re coding 4–5 hours a day full-time. Then I break down how to make the degree way less stressful. My biggest win was not taking CS classes alone—take them with friends so you can bounce ideas (academically honest), avoid repeating the same bugs, and save hours of your life. I also talk about starting projects early, using office hours (even though I personally avoided them too much), and leveraging class boards like Piazza to get unstuck while you keep working on other parts. Finally, I push the internship “snowball effect”: get your first internship ASAP (freshman year if possible), because once you have one, recruiters start coming to you. And on top of all that, build something on the side—an app, a bot, a SaaS—because it’s either money, or it makes your resume insanely stronger.
