About This Video

In this video I finally sort out my small space gaming/desk setup, because honestly… it was a cluttered mess and I wasn’t even using it. This corner of the room is tight (I even measured it properly in the end — it’s only 100cm wide), so every bit of desk space matters. The biggest change was getting rid of the little shrimp tank that was eating up loads of room, which meant I could actually centre my new 27" 1440p monitor instead of having it shoved off to the side. That alone makes the whole setup feel more practical and way more enjoyable to sit at. I also went for a cleaner, more “me” look — mainly black with RGB to break it up. I added an LED strip around the outside of the desk for a glow, got my dodecahedron infinity light properly on display, and showed a few of the bits I’ve collected over the years (including a steampunk beetle and a wolf light). I’m using an IKEA wall board/shelving setup so I can move hooks and clips around wherever I want, which is perfect when space is limited. It’s not going to be everyone’s dream setup, but for the space I’ve got it’s a massive upgrade: brighter, cleaner, and I’ve actually started gaming again. I’ve still got cable wrap coming to tidy the wires, and I’ll add a bit more lighting up top, but I’m genuinely chuffed with how it turned out.
