About This Video

In this video I unbox and properly live with the SoundPeats Clip1 open-ear clip-on earphones for a couple of weeks, because I wanted to see how they actually hold up day to day—not just a quick first impression. These were sent to me for free by SoundPeats, but the review is 100% my own opinion with zero input from them. I go through what you get in the box, the case (nice looking but a bit shiny and slippery), and the earbuds themselves—plus a couple of genuinely handy features like auto left/right detection and in-ear detection that pauses when you take them off. Then I get into the stuff that matters: sound, comfort, calls, battery, and the app. I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect to be impressed because clip-ons aren’t normally my thing, but the 12mm drivers surprised me big time. The bass is punchy and controlled, mids and treble are really solid, and for the money these sound “bloody amazing” considering they don’t squish into your ears. Comfort was great for me for around two hours straight, calls were clear in my testing, and the SoundPeats app gives you Dolby audio, EQ options, LDAC, and touch customisation. My main complaint: no volume control out of the box—touch controls are a bit limited—but overall I absolutely love them.
