Ebonite Entity Review: Smooth Control or Wild Reaction?

Curious whether the Ebonite Entity lives up to its “smooth but strong” reputation—or if it can get a little unruly? We took it straight to Center Bowl, flooded the lane with fresh oil, and ran every shot through Specto to see how it really behaves. Big thanks to Center Bowl for letting us roll and record on their lanes. ⏱ Timestamps 0:00 – Ball info (coverstock, core specs, layout) 1:32 – On-lane review (Specto numbers, reaction shape, carry) 18:13 – Outro / final thoughts Stay in touch Subscribe for weekly reviews & tips Instagram: @revitupbowling TikTok: @revitupbowling Business email: revitup907@gmail.com Question of the day: What’s the one trait you can’t compromise on when choosing a new ball—smooth control or big back-end pop? About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing the new Ebonite Entity, a higher-end Pro Series asymmetric solid, and I wanted to answer the real question: is it truly “smooth but strong,” or can it get a little unruly? I took it to Center Bowl on a fresh, higher-volume house shot (we added oil on purpose) and watched what it did from up 5 all the way into the 4th arrow zone. The big talking point with this ball is the higher RG (2.53) for a big asymsolid, and you can see it on the lane—it gets down lane more than you’d expect for this category while still wanting to roll forward off the end of the pattern like a typical asym. Out of the box it’s 500/2000 with a touch of lane shine for me, and it uses HK22 Optimum Solid (same family as the Crusher line). What surprised me most is how clean it is for a solid and how it responds when it finds friction: it’s not a super slow “brick” like some of the really early, super-smooth asyms, but it’s also not a hockey-stick snap. For my build (40 x 5 x 40), I’m calling it medium-to-heavy volume with a slow-to-medium response time—versatile enough to shape it, but it still needs oil and it still needs to see some friction to set up.
