Trying to figure out if the Pulse is a smooth control piece or a sneaky hook monster? We took it to Center Bowl on a fresh, high-volume house shot and ran every throw through Specto to see how it really shapes up—no side-by-side comparisons, just the Pulse and clean motion data. Big thanks to Center Bowl for letting us film and test on their lanes. ⏱ Timestamps 0:00 – Ball info (cover, core, layout) 0:56 – On-lane review (Specto numbers, shape, carry) 15:18 – Outro / final thoughts Stay in touch Subscribe for weekly reviews & tips Instagram: @revitupbowling TikTok: @revitupbowling Business email: revitup907@gmail.com Question of the day: On fresh THS, do you trust a smooth arc or a quicker, poppier move downlane? About This Video

In this video I put the brand new Columbia 300 Pulse on the lane and let it tell me what it actually is: smooth control piece or sneaky hook monster. I tested it at Center Bowl on our souped-up, higher-volume house shot and ran the shots through Specto so we’re not guessing on what the ball is doing. Out of the box it’s got surface (500/2000) with the new HK22 HyperFlex solid, and I drilled mine pin above ring (about 5x40) because I wanted it to be different than my Hammerhead. What I saw was exactly what Columbia is marketing: smooth, predictable, and it really likes oil. If I got it right early it wanted to hook and read too soon, but when I kept it in the oil it shaped up with that slower response time and just kept continuing through the pocket. It’s not that “take a left turn” skid/flip look, and it doesn’t hook-set like an asym—just a steady, controllable motion that still carries. For me the Pulse is a versatile symmetric that can live on fresh and into some transition, especially when you want to keep your angles tighter and let the ball process forward.
