In Part 4 of my Grandstream GDS learning journey, I show how to configure SIP integration so an IP phone can remotely unlock your door when a visitor rings the doorbell. This step-by-step walkthrough covers both the GDS3725 configuration and the IP phone setup, allowing you to build a professional-grade access control system using standard SIP hardware. If you're learning access control, VoIP, or physical security systems — join me as I learn this platform from the ground up in this multi-part video series. 👉 Subscribe to follow the entire journey and future deep dives. In Part 5, I’m taking this system even further by integrating mobile devices, letting you answer door calls and unlock the door from your smartphone — anywhere in the world. 0:00 – Welcome + What You’ll Learn (SIP Door Unlock) 0:20 – Real-World SIP Door Unlock Scenario 0:42 – GDS SIP Account Setup Explained 1:29 – Optional Security: SIP Allow List 1:57 – Doorbell Call Routing Setup 2:22 – SIP Open Door Configuration 2:46 – Phone-Side Integration Setup 3:20 – GXV3350 Door System Configuration 4:19 – Live Demo: IP Phone Unlocks Door 5:03 – Non-Video Phone Use Case 5:25 – Wrap-Up + Next Video Tease Share this video - https://youtu.be/cQGxrqvChUE Subscribe to this channel - https://goo.gl/dRbTqD Channel Support: Buy Tony A Coffee - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/quiktech PayPal - http://paypal.me/quiktechsolutionsllc Earn $100 Cloud Credits from Digital Ocean by signing up at: https://m.do.co/c/41d68f5e11bd Amazon Affiliate Storefront: https://www.amazon.com/shop/quiktechsolutionsl.l.c Disclaimers: This video is not made for or intended for kids. About This Video

Welcome back to the channel—I'm Tony, and in Part 4 of my Grandstream GDS learning journey I walk you through SIP integration that lets an IP phone remotely unlock a door when someone presses the GDS doorbell. I start with the real-world scenario: a visitor hits the green button, the GDS places a SIP call inside your home or office, you vet the visitor, and then you press an unlock option on the phone to release the door. This is a practical way to build a professional-grade access control workflow using standard SIP hardware. I break the setup into two parts: GDS configuration and phone configuration. On the GDS3725, I show where to enter your SIP account details (from your provider or your own PBX), and I call out an optional best practice for businesses—using an allow list so only approved extensions can call the GDS. Then I configure doorbell call routing (the “number called when the doorbell button is pressed”) and enable SIP Open Door with a four-digit unlock code. On the phone side (I’m using a GXV3350 video phone), I add a Door System integration, point it to the GDS extension, and use the same unlock code as the action password. Finally, I demo the full flow—doorbell ringtone, video on-screen, and one-button unlock—plus I explain how it still works on a non-video IP phone.
