About This Video

In this Saturday Afternoon LIVE (started an hour early because I had somewhere to be), I kicked things off with a real-life “behind the scenes” moment—yes, I completely messed up my intro, forgot the pre-roll, and even had the mic muted at first. That’s just how it goes sometimes, and I’m not afraid to laugh at myself and keep it moving. We also touched on UniFi’s new AirWire, but I’m just being honest: I’m not really a UniFi channel anymore. I’m still maintaining a controller for a few existing client networks, but these days my focus is Grandstream, Proxmox, and practical home networking that stays reliable. From there, I shared a quick real-world outdoor test update: my GWN7670 LR access point on the pergola has been absolutely hammered by torrential rain, storms, and even snow—and it never blipped. Then I showed an iOS app I found called ProxM that gives you a clean Proxmox interface from your phone/tablet, including VM views, node stats, and even creating VMs/containers. I also talked about my TerraMaster F4-425 Plus experience (and their upcoming sale), and I gave an early look at the Grandstream GWN7302 wireless bridge—what the ports and LEDs look like, how the UI is laid out, and the pairing process that gave me trouble until I finally got it working.
