It’s here—the Grandstream GWN7660EM plug-in-the-wall Wi‑Fi 6 access point. This device may be small, but don’t let that deceive you. In this video I walk you through two real-world ways to use it in a home network or homelab: first as a traditional wired access point, and then as a wireless mesh/extender. I show the full step-by-step process inside the Grandstream interface so you can follow along and get it working without guessing. For the wired setup, I use a Grandstream GWN762E as my main router/controller. I plug the GWN7660EM into AC power, wait for the LED to go from green to pink, then connect Ethernet from the router (or a switch) to the unit. From the web UI I go to Advanced > Mesh, hit Add, start the search, and add the device when it’s detected. The key confirmation is the LED—once it becomes a steady blue, you’re connected. Then I reset the unit (hold reset about 10 seconds) and set it up as a mesh point. The steps are similar, but the critical difference is pressing and holding the sync button on the bottom for 3 seconds during pairing.
