About This Video

In Part 1 of this GDMS series, I walk you through setting up Grandstream GDMS Networking from scratch, step by step. This video came directly from a viewer request to build a full Grandstream stack in the cloud, and I’m breaking it into three parts so you can follow along without sitting through one giant marathon. In this first install, I show you how to create your GDMS account at gdms.cloud (including the device verification requirement), activate it by email, and get oriented inside the GDMS Networking interface. From there, I create a brand-new network (I called mine “YouTube demo”), explain what it means to set a default network (and why the default can’t be deleted), and then we onboard devices two different ways. I add the GWN7811P switch manually using the MAC address and initial password from the label, then I use the GWN mobile app to scan in the GCC6010 router and GWN7665 access point. Finally, we configure the default LAN (gateway selection, DHCP range, and DNS) and modify the default Wi‑Fi SSID, security, and band settings so the AP is actually broadcasting what we want. Part 2 is where we’ll build VLANs, including an IoT network and IoT Wi‑Fi.
