About This Video

In this video, I take a real-world, honest look at the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus and why it’s such an interesting 4-bay NAS for the money. I’m talking Intel N150 CPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM (upgradeable), dual 5GbE ports, and not two—but three—NVMe M.2 slots, all landing in that “home lab and small business” sweet spot. I walk through who this NAS is really for—home enthusiasts, content creators, and small offices that want strong performance without stepping into enterprise pricing. I also cover the physical design, rear I/O, and my setup experience, and I’ll be honest: this was the easiest NAS I’ve ever set up. From there, I tour the TerraMaster OS layout, the storage and backup options (including things like Rsync, Time Machine, and cloud sync), the App Center, and the built-in Docker manager. I wrap up with the TN mobile app and what I’d like TerraMaster to improve—locking drive bays, easier access to the RAM/NVMe without disassembly, and a locking power connector. Overall, when you step back and look at the whole package, it’s a lot of value if you need backups, media services, Docker, and even light virtualization.
