The brand new Grandstream GWN7806PL Pro switch is here — and in this video I take a first look at the hardware, internal components, and most importantly… the noise levels. This 48-port Gigabit PoE switch with 6 SFP+ uplinks and internal power supply is part of Grandstream’s new GWN7806PL Pro. I compare it to the original GWN7806P and test real-world fan noise under load with 8 active PoE devices including phones, cameras, and access points. If you’re looking for a quieter PoE switch with more ports, this test may help you decide. 00:00 Introduction – First Look at the GWN7806PL Pro 00:14 What’s Included in the Box 00:31 Front Panel Overview (Ports, SFP+, Console) 00:49 Side & Rear Overview (RPS, Internal PSU, Cooling) 01:33 Opening the Switch – Internal Components 02:45 GWN7806P vs GWN7806PL Pro Comparison 03:44 Noise Testing Setup & Baseline Measurement 04:48 Boot-Up Fan Ramp Test (dB Reading) 05:21 Idle Noise After Boot 05:41 Adding PoE Devices (Phones, Cameras, APs) 08:28 Noise Test with 8 PoE Devices 09:05 20-Minute Thermal Test Results 09:30 Final Verdict – Is It Really Quiet? 11:01 Other Pro Models to Check Out Specs Sheet - https://t.ly/LumDj Share this video - https://youtu.be/cQGWPC9ZZZQ Subscribe to this channel - https://goo.gl/dRbTqD Channel Support: Buy Tony A Coffee - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/quiktech PayPal - http://paypal.me/quiktechsolutionsllc Earn $100 Cloud Credits from Digital Ocean by signing up at: https://m.do.co/c/41d68f5e11bd Amazon Affiliate Storefront: https://www.amazon.com/shop/quiktechsolutionsl.l.c Disclaimers: This video is not made for or intended for kids. About This Video

In this video I take a true first look at the brand new Grandstream GWN7806PL Pro and focus on what most of us actually care about in a home rack: is it really quiet? I walk through what’s in the box (including the little plastic power-cord fastener I initially forgot to show), then I tour the front panel with the status lights, reset, QR code, console port, six SFP+ uplinks, and 48 Gigabit PoE ports. Around the back I point out the internal power supply (I love not having an external brick), the grounding lug, and the RPS port for redundant power. Next I crack the switch open and give you an internal hardware look—full disclosure, I’m not a circuit board expert, but I show you what I’m seeing: the main board, CPU/heat sink, the RPS board, the internal power board with its own heat sinks, and yes… four fans (even though from the outside it looks like two). Then I compare it to the original GWN7806P and run real-world noise tests: baseline room noise, boot-up fan ramp, idle after boot, and under PoE load with eight devices (phones, cameras, and multiple Grandstream APs). The big takeaway: it stayed basically at baseline even after 20–25 minutes, and compared to the older model it’s night-and-day quieter—though I still would’ve liked to see some 2.5Gb ports.
