I also announced next week’s Holiday Tech Stream hosted on Jeremy’s channel, with Practical IT, PE Ford Doers (Willie), and me sharing gift ideas for the “techie somebody” in your family. From there, I gave a first look at the TerraMaster F4-425+ and the TOS 6 interface. I’m coming from Synology DSM and UGREEN OS, so I talked through what feels familiar and what feels different—like the top “dock,” sidebar widgets (CPU, RAM, temps, fan speed), and the built-in help prompts that are actually useful for first-time users. I also called out key hardware points: Intel N150, 16GB RAM out of the box (upgradable to 32GB), three M.2 NVMe slots, and dual 5GbE. Finally, I started rolling into early Black Friday deal talk—keeping it eclectic with laptops, travel routers, NAS options, and some general consumer tech—plus I shared some outdoor networking gear I’m testing, including a weatherproof pass-through PoE switch and a BT injector, along with my real-world VLAN observations.
