In this Saturday Afternoon Live stream (January 24, 2026), I kicked back with the community and did what these lives are all about—catching up on the week and talking through what’s happening in and around my home network world. We started with a weather poll (because a big chunk of the U.S. is getting hammered), and I’ll take snow over ice any day. We also chatted about life stuff, including why we didn’t make a quick turnaround trip to Florida, and I appreciate everyone who checks in and keeps this community positive. On the tech side, I shared a few updates from the studio and some gear decisions I’m working through. I’m relaunching my old sports channel (Schwarz Talking Sports), but this time we’re doing it smarter—football season only, no guest-chasing, and a simpler remote workflow. That led into a real comparison of streaming platforms (Talk Studio vs. OneStream), why I’m leaning toward Talk Studio for 1080p at a reasonable price, and my own testing with higher streaming bitrates where YouTube Studio started barking at me. I also talked Grandstream—specifically the new GWN7302 point-to-point/point-to-multipoint bridge—and why I’m excited to test it as soon as units ship.
