In this Saturday Afternoon Live stream, I’m mostly doing what these weekend hangouts are all about—catching up with the community and talking through the real-world stuff happening in my studio and home network setup. I shared the local weather situation (yes, we were actually tracking a rare snow event for my area), pulled up my backyard camera view, and looked at radar to see what might be headed our way. I pulled up the specs, talked pricing realities (especially once you add NVMe storage), and explained why I personally don’t see it as cost-effective versus a more traditional NAS for most home users.
