This is a short, practical video showing: Relay configuration Unified PIN vs Guest PIN Live keypad testing with a door strike I’m not presenting this as an expert—just sharing what I’m learning as I go. If you’re setting up a Grandstream GDS system or thinking about using keypad access, follow along and learn with me. 📺 In Part 4, I’m going to keep building on this setup and explore the next layer of access control on the GDS—going beyond just the keypad. If you’re learning this system along with me, you won’t want to miss it. 0:00 – Part 3 Intro: Programming the GDS Keypad 0:11 – What This Video Covers (Keypad Door Unlock) 0:21 – Wiring Context (Fail Secure Recap) 0:38 – Logging Into the GDS3725 0:44 – Access Control & Relay Settings Overview 0:56 – Relay 1 vs Relay 2 Explained 1:18 – Door Relay Options (Local Relay) 1:41 – Delay Response Time Explained 2:19 – Open Door Hold Time Explained 2:35 – Open Door Password Settings 2:41 – Unified PIN Mode Explained 3:26 – Guest PIN Setup & Time Limits 3:53 – Live Keypad Demo (Unified PIN) 4:29 – Live Keypad Demo (Guest PIN) 4:45 – Final Thoughts & Wrap-Up Share this video - https://youtu.be/QtRkRa9ZzrA Subscribe to this channel - https://goo.gl/dRbTqD Channel Support: Buy Tony A Coffee - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/quiktech PayPal - http://paypal.me/quiktechsolutionsllc Earn $100 Cloud Credits from Digital Ocean by signing up at: https://m.do.co/c/41d68f5e11bd Amazon Affiliate Storefront: https://www.amazon.com/shop/quiktechsolutionsl.l.c Disclaimers: This video is not made for or intended for kids. About This Video

In Part 3 of my GDS learning journey, I keep it short and practical and show you exactly how I’ve got the Grandstream GDS3725 set up to unlock a door strike using the built-in keypad. I’m not presenting this as an expert—I’m just sharing what I’m learning as I go, after doing some more testing. For context, my wiring is in the fail secure model, and if you haven’t watched Part 2 yet, you’ll want to check that out because it explains why things are connected the way they are. On the configuration side, I walk through Access Control settings for Relay 1, explain Relay 1 vs Relay 2, and why I’m sticking with Relay Out 1 for this demo. I also cover the key options that matter: keeping Door Relay Options set to Local Relay, what “Delayed Response Time” does (and why I leave it at 0), and how “Open Door Hold Time” controls how long the strike stays unlocked (I leave it at the default 5 seconds). Then I show the Open Door password settings, including Unified PIN mode for a simple “everyone uses the same code” setup, plus a Guest PIN that can be time-limited. Finally, I do live keypad testing so you can see it work in real time—entering the PIN and hitting pound, getting the confirmation, and watching the strike open and re-lock after the hold time. If you’re building a Grandstream GDS setup and want keypad access to be straightforward, this is the exact workflow I’m using right now.
