About This Video

The other day I went to IKEA and decided to round up my favorite finds that are under $10—things I actually own and use pretty much daily. Quick note: ignore any price tags you see in the footage unless you’re Canadian, because I was shopping in a Canadian IKEA. I’m sharing the practical staples that truly earn their keep at home (and a few that are just nice to look at, which honestly matters when you’re opening cupboards all day). I talk through the bamboo-topped glass food storage containers I’m always reaching for (microwave-friendly glass, super solid seal, and they look great in the fridge), plus affordable matching drinking glasses with a timeless ribbed design. I also share some table basics like textured placemats that look way better in person than online, and super inexpensive cotton napkins that can work for everyday meals and even holiday tables with a little greenery. And of course, I get into the IKEA organizing rabbit hole: flexible drawer boxes for socks and undergarments, lidded boxes for hiding cable chaos, wire baskets for catch-all storage, zippered storage bags, a shower squeegee that actually beats the dollar store version, and a door hanger that adds storage without nails. I also tried the pot lid organizer (helpful, but it does eat drawer space), plus shelf inserts that I genuinely don’t know what I’d do without.
