IT’S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! My team teacher returns from maternity leave in exactly one week! While I am beyond excited for her to return, the past week has been rough… I even ended up in tears at one point. Rather than focusing on all of the negatives, I share some glimmers (good things) that I’m excited about and looking forward to. But, I do want to be real with you and share how I’m honestly feeling because I know I’m not alone. If you are curious about my thoughts and what I’m doing about it, come spend the day with me in fourth grade (you can skip the end if you don’t want the negativity). __________________________________________________________________ 🎥 SUBSCRIBE TO POCKETFUL OF PRIMARY: https://www.youtube.com/pocketfulofprimary?sub_confirmation=1 VLOG PLAYLIST: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzMt-laLU9XwfKSOykTpRq2IGVustA-U8 🍎🛒 CLASSROOM 2025-2026 AMAZON LIST: https://amzn.to/3H8VQEw CHAPTERS: 0:00 Intro 1:05 Let’s chat 3:50 Multiplication fact fluency 12:37 New seating arrangement 13:44 Halloween pencils 16:24 New small group seating arrangement 18:27 Multiplication fact fluency display 20:03 Honest chat (I’m struggling) 30:20 Outro 🎗️ MATH WHIZ RIBBON: https://amzn.to/3WCUupQ 🏅 MATHEMATICS MEDAL: https://amzn.to/47FU1Za 🎃✏️ HALLOWEEN PENCIL TAGS EDITABLE CANVA TEMPLATE: https://www.canva.com/design/DAG27lKgYDE/zXqWDUj0mKOH-ArXqR-2ZQ/view?utm_content=DAG27lKgYDE&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=publishsharelink&mode=preview ⚫ ⅜ INCH HOLE PUNCH: https://amzn.to/4qzRJ6B __________________________________________________________________ 🍏 TEACHERSPAYTEACHERS STORE: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Pocketful-Of-Primary 📖🥇🍎 FIRST CLASS TEACHING BOOK: Amazon - https://amzn.to/4b8C3hp Audible - https://www.audible.com/pd/First-Class-Teaching-Audiobook/B0C3FQVJN2 Audiobooks - https://www.audiobooks.com/audiobook/first-class-teaching-10-lessons-you-dont-learn-in-college/673960 🛒 AMAZON FAVORITES: http://bit.ly/pocketfulofprimarystore 🍎🛒🖤 CLASSROOM AMAZON WISHLIST: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1JLJUE48YFDLO?ref_=wl_share 🍎 POCKETFUL OF PRIMARY MERCHANDISE: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PocketfulofPrimary?ref=search_shop_redirect __________________________________________________________________ Find me on my other social media platforms: INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/pocketfulofprimary FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/PocketfulofPrimary/ PINTEREST: https://www.pinterest.com/pocketfulofprim/ PODCAST: https://teachingonthedouble.com/podcasts/ WEBSITE: www.pocketfulofprimary.com For business inquiries, please contact: pocketfulofprimary@gmail.com __________________________________________________________________ *My description includes referral codes/links that allow me to earn points or credit that can be redeemed for products and/or subscriptions. About This Video

This was one of those real-life fourth grade days where I’m doing all the normal teacher things… but I’m also carrying a lot. I’m officially in the final countdown because my team teacher is coming back from maternity leave in one week, and while I’m genuinely so excited, this past week has been rough. In this vlog I bring you along for our routines and the little systems I’m putting in place to make the day feel lighter—multiplication fact fluency, updating displays, and trying out a new seating arrangement (including a small group setup that actually makes sense for how I teach). I also share a few “glimmers” I’m holding onto—those small good things that keep me going when teaching feels heavy. And then I’m honest about the part I know so many of us feel: teaching is hard, and sometimes it hits you out of nowhere (yes, I cried). I talk through what’s been weighing on me and what I’m doing about it—focusing on what I can control, tightening up routines, and giving myself permission to feel it without getting stuck there. If you’re in a hard season too, I hope this feels like a deep breath and a reminder that you’re not alone.
