Happy (early) Valentine’s Day from my 4th grade classroom! Valentine’s Day fell on a Saturday this year, so we celebrated on Friday (yes… Friday the 13th), and it ended up being such a fun, feel-good day focused on love, kindness, and appreciation. I’m taking you along for the whole day—starting with the sweet treats I baked for my coworkers (because that’s just what I do), and then jumping into our Kindness Week vibes and my Valentine’s outfit for the day. In the classroom, I share the slides and activities I use to keep the day structured but still festive—think themed math, a little science, and simple rotations that actually work with real kids and real time constraints. You’ll also see the decorations I put up, our class party setup (including a trail mix bar), and our annual “Guess the Baby” game, which my students always love. And of course, we end the day with exchanging valentines and a quick check-in after the chaos.
