I’m bringing you along for our annual fourth grade winter pancake breakfast, and this year I stepped it up by giving my students choices of toppings. I’ll show you how I unpack everything, set up my breakfast station, and keep the morning moving even when the schedule is packed and the energy is sky-high. My switch teacher and I also hosted a hot chocolate station using one of my favorite hacks: heating up chocolate milk in a slow cooker. I share how I set up the classroom for the day (including the coloring tablecloths), the slides/schedule I use to keep everything organized, and the fun parts that make this day so memorable—like handing out my custom “I Spy” snow globe gifts, playing the plastic wrap ball game for prizes, and tossing in winter-themed Minute to Win It games that are super simple to prep.
