Back at HBSP with the Sony a6700 and their 200-600mm telephoto zoom lens. Some areas of the park opened late, so I had to find subjects in the open areas. I had some good luck and found my favorite woodpecker, the Pileated! ---- Gear used in this video: Sony a6700 https://amzn.to/47kjxnh Sony 200-600 https://amzn.to/4sxHik8 ---- Link to the K&F Geared Head https://www.kentfaith.com/KF31.047_3-way%20geared%20tripod%20head?tracking=6566aa38d59c5 Discount/Coupon code PHIL SIRUI Products link: https://store.sirui.com?sca_ref=8611311.ombhlM15ZR&utm_source=affiliates&utm_medium=uppromote&utm_campaign=8611311 Use Coupon Code PHIL5 for a discount! About This Video

I headed back to HBSP with the Sony a6700 paired up to Sony’s 200-600mm, with one goal: see how this setup feels when I’m actually out hunting birds in the real world. Some parts of the park opened late, so I had to stay in the open areas and work whatever subjects I could find. That’s honestly how a lot of my wildlife outings go—plans change, light changes, and you’ve got to make the most of what’s in front of you. Even with the limited access, I ended up with some good luck and found my favorite woodpecker, the Pileated. In this video I’m focusing on practical bird photography—finding subjects, handling a long telephoto in the field, and getting shots when you don’t have ideal conditions or your usual spots available. If you’re thinking about the a6700 for birds (especially with the 200-600), this is the kind of outing that shows what it’s like when it’s not a perfect demo day—just me, the gear, and whatever the park gives me.
