I met my friend Ron Durant at Foster Falls. I used the Nikon D850, 16-35 f/4 lens, and Maven Filters to make photos of the falls and other beautiful things in the area. I was very happy with my shots on this excursion. I hope you like them too! About This Video

I met up with my buddy Ron Durant at Foster Falls and spent the day making long exposure photos with my Nikon D850 and the Nikon 16-35mm f/4. This spot is loaded with moving water, rocks, and little pockets of detail that really reward slowing down and working the scene. I leaned on Maven Filters to stretch shutter speeds and smooth the water, and I came away genuinely happy with what I got on this excursion. In this video I’m basically doing what I love—getting out in the field, dialing in real settings, and focusing on practical results instead of theory. If you’re trying to shoot waterfalls with a wide-angle, you’ll see how I approach composition around the falls and the surrounding “other beautiful things” in the area. If you’re building a kit for outdoor shooting, I also share links to the gear I use and the accessories I trust when I’m out photographing in places like this.
