About This Video

In this real-time, step-by-step tutorial, I’m painting a simple mini watercolor daisy bouquet that’s perfect if you’re a beginner (or if you just want something easy and relaxing to follow along with). I start by quickly going over the supplies I’m using, and then we jump right into the daisies—keeping everything loose, approachable, and not overly “perfect.” I focus on simple petal shapes, gentle layering, and leaving little bits of breathing room so the bouquet stays light and fresh. Once the daisies are in, I move into the stems and leaves to pull everything together into a cohesive mini bouquet. I keep the greenery simple and beginner-friendly, using a few easy brushstrokes to suggest stems, leaves, and natural variation. By the end, you’ll have a sweet little floral painting you can finish in one sitting—and you’ll also get a feel for how I build a floral piece from flower shapes first, then add structure with stems and leaves. If you want to keep learning, I also share where you can find my full class library and my 15-day floral composition challenge.
