About This Video

In this easy, real-time paint-along, I’m walking you through a simple bouquet of loose watercolor wildflowers—perfect if you’re a beginner and you just want something relaxing that still looks really pretty. I start by sharing the exact supplies I’m using (paper, one main round brush, and a small color palette), and then we jump right into building the bouquet step by step so you’re never guessing what to do next. We begin with the main flowers to set the focal points, then I layer in filler flowers to add that airy, wildflower feel. One of my favorite parts is showing you how to paint a “backside” perspective so your bouquet doesn’t look flat—those little angle changes make such a big difference. From there, I add buds, connect everything with stems and leaves, and finish with final details to sharpen the composition and bring the whole piece together. If you’ve been wanting to loosen up your florals without overthinking every petal, this is a great one to practice with me.
