Red Dust Track In My 76 Cruiser

Hey guys quick update on the trip so far

About This Video

In this quick trip update I’m out in the 76 Cruiser following a few tracks and, honestly, it’s been slow going. We’ve had a fair bit of sharp rock, and I was a bit reluctant to air down too much because I’m worried about slashing a sidewall. On top of that it’s absolutely sweltering—well into the 40s—so it’s one of those days where you’re just trying to keep things moving without cooking yourself or the gear. A couple of little problems popped up along the way, and I’ve managed to resolve them for now, but I’ll be digging into them properly later. One big headache has been charging devices because I simply don’t have enough USB sockets in the cab—when you’re filming, transferring footage, and trying to keep everything powered, you really notice it. I’ve been doing a lot off my phone, which you’ve probably picked up. The track’s been a mix of super rocky sections and that fine red “ball dust” talc stuff, so we’re keeping the windows shut and the air con on to try and keep the dust out. I’ve also got more videos coming—full vehicle walk-around (new rig), the issues that showed up once we hit the tracks, and a pretty awesome memorial story about Australian, New Zealand, and British troops that got caught up out here.
