In this one I duck down to a little spot they call the Lagoon—I've been here before and it’s still an awesome little place. The roads have been graded now, so you can pretty much get normal cars down there (or close to it), but I pushed a bit further to where we used to camp and it started getting a bit boggy. I stopped before I made a proper mess of it, and yeah… I didn’t even lock the hubs in. I was just going to “man it up” and keep rolling, but the sand was starting to tell me otherwise. The main mission was to wander down to the water and try something new for the channel: underwater shots with a GoPro. There were heaps of people down there, but the views are unreal and it’s a ripper little day trip if you’re in the area and want an easy cruise with a bit of 4WD flavour. Nothing too technical here—just dusty tracks, a reminder not to get cocky in soft stuff, and a first crack at getting some underwater footage to mix things up.
