This laptop cost me just £10 and it's great - The 2008 Samsung Netbook

Hello everyone! In this video, I take a trip down the Samsung experience of 2008, with a brilliant Samsung netbook. I showed the laptop itself as well as had some fun with some older games. It performs brilliantly in Windows XP, and not too bad in Windows 7, although Debian is completely out of the question. This was a bunch of fun to make and I was surprised at how cheap it was considering what it came with. For now, I'm going to keep this as my silly little Samsung laptop. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to ask in the comments, and if you enjoy this one, a like would go a mile (but you don't have to!). About This Video

I picked up a 2008 Samsung NC10 netbook off Facebook Marketplace for just £10, and honestly… for a tenner it’s kind of a little beast. In this video I go over what you actually get with a dirt-cheap ultra-low-cost PC: a 10-inch display, an Intel Atom N270, 2GB of RAM, and the most annoyingly tiny trackpad known to man. Mine even came with the original Samsung bag, charger, and the Windows XP Home install media plus the “random crap” software disc, which is wild considering the price. I mess about with how it runs across a few operating systems because I’ve got it dual/triple-booting Windows XP, Windows 7, and Debian KDE. XP is where this thing feels happiest, and I had a laugh testing older games like Driving in Tehran, The Sims, and Monopoly (until the battery decided to instantly die mid-game). Windows 7 is usable but you can feel how low-end it is, and Debian… yeah, that boot time and sluggishness is exactly why “just put Linux on it bro” isn’t always the magic fix. Overall, it’s a silly little Samsung laptop, but for £10 it massively over-delivered.
