Is AMD's latest high-end graphics card the best bang-for-your-buck out there? Is NVIDIA still the go-to option for PC gaming? In today's video, I unbox my brand-new AMD RX 9070 XT, alongside setting it up in my computer and showcasing some real-world performance testing. Alongside this, I share my personal opinions and experiences after having used it for several weeks. The video compares the 9070 XT to its closest competitor - the RTX 5070 Ti - primarily from a price-to-performance standpoint. Which GPU should you choose? I hope you enjoy this one and look forward to hearing your feedback in the comments! All feedback is welcome - be it improvements to my videos or future video ideas. If you enjoyed this one, I would greatly appreciate it if you could like the video and subscribe the channel - you'll be notified when the next one comes out! Have a wonderful day! :)

About This Video

In this video I unbox and install my new Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT 16GB, and yes… I’m still amazed I actually own it. I was on an RX 6600 (which is genuinely fantastic for 1080p and light 1440p), but after moving to a 1440p ultrawide, the 6600 just couldn’t cope. I also got lucky and ordered this right before prices started climbing — the same Amazon listing was already up about £50 when I checked again. I walk through fitting the card into my PC (Ryzen 5 5600X, 750W Corsair PSU), including the very real “this thing is massive” moment where I had to deal with power cables, three PCI slots, and the included support bracket to fight GPU sag. After a test boot (thankfully it lived), I sort drivers… and then I end up switching to Linux (Bazzite) because honestly, after using my MacBook more, Windows just felt rubbish to me. From there I do real-world benchmarks at 1440p ultrawide: CS2 (very CPU-bound on my 5600X), Red Dead Redemption 2 on ultra pulling ~300W, and The Witcher 3 where I test high/ultra and ray tracing (including ultra RT staying above ~40 FPS). I also show Lutris for non-Steam games like GTA V, which runs well overall but still has some weird stutters that feel engine/CPU-related.
