In this video I show you how I send files between pretty much any devices (Windows, Android, iPhone, whatever) without AirDrop, without cables, and without messing around with Bluetooth. Apple’s AirDrop is great… if you’re in Apple’s ecosystem, but I’m a Windows PC + Android user, so I wanted the same “tap and send” vibe without selling my soul to Apple. That’s where SnapDrop comes in: it’s basically AirDrop but cross‑platform and, honestly, simpler in my opinion. I walk through the setup on my phone (installing the SnapDrop app) and then I open snapdrop.net on my PC. Once both devices are on the same network, they detect each other automatically with randomized names, and you just click the device you want to send to. I send a photo (yes, my cat) from phone to PC, then send a wallpaper from PC to phone, and both sides prompt you to save—super straightforward. I also show the text sharing feature, which is perfect for sending long strings you don’t want to retype, without relying on Discord/WhatsApp. The big win for me is no compression, so your images don’t get destroyed like they do on WhatsApp.
