The best Touch screen headunit for the 2nd Gen Tundra. 4Runner, or Tacoma? I installed this Dasaita G13 head unit and it was super easy. Now I can use Carplay, Apple maps, Google Maps, Garmin Power Switch, Spotify, basically all the good stuff in my Tundra. About This Video

My Tundra is awesome, but the factory head unit is one of those things that makes the whole truck feel super dated. The stock screen is small, it’s missing a lot of functionality, and the big one for me was no Apple CarPlay. When you’re doing long-distance little adventures, CarPlay is just the move—Apple Maps/Google Maps, Spotify, and everything I actually use. On top of that, once I added a Garmin PowerSwitch, it got old real quick having to dig into my phone every time I wanted to run aux lights. In this video I unbox, install, and review the Dasaita G13 (Android 13) head unit for the 2nd gen Tundra (and it’s also available for other Toyota platforms like the 4Runner). The install looks like a lot of steps on paper, but it’s honestly pretty straightforward because everything plugs into a matching connector—there’s basically no way to force the wrong plug into the wrong port. I also show the trim removal, the 10mm bolts, swapping the factory brackets over, and why I recommend having extra yellow trim clips on hand. After install, I go through how fast it runs, how I set up the CarPlay screen with maps + music, and the best part for me: the Garmin PowerSwitch control is basically instant and feels faster than using my phone. Sound quality is noticeably better than stock, the steering wheel controls work, and it even flips into night mode when I turn the lights on.
