I’ve had a long time to live with my Morimoto setup—BigBangers up top, 2Bangers on the A-pillars, and 4Banger fog replacements—and at this point it’s hands-down my favorite off-road lighting I’ve run. I’ve owned Baja Designs and I’ve had Diode Dynamics (which I did like), but Morimoto is weirdly underappreciated because I just don’t see many people running them. After watching head-to-head lumen tests (Headlight Revolution), I wanted to try the BigBangers because they looked comparable to the “big name” stuff—and from what I’ve seen, they’re insanely bright. In this video I walk through how I configured everything: spot vs flood patterns up top (middle spots, outer floods), how the backlighting works, and why I like the look so much. I also show how I’m controlling it all with dual Garmin PowerSwitch modules, including a setup where I can fire my left and right ditch lights independently—super helpful in bad highway conditions so I’m not blinding oncoming traffic. I’ll also show the clean mounting/wiring (shout out Runnin4Tacos) and why I love not having to pierce the firewall thanks to Bluetooth/app control and CarPlay integration on my Dasaita head unit.
