About This Video

Merry Christmas! In this video, we head up to Midtown Atlanta for the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Garden Lights, Holiday Nights and do a full walkthrough with our honest reactions as we go. From the moment we walked in, we were already spotting cool details—like the “birds” up in the trees that look lit from within, but are actually wire figures being illuminated by projected lights. It’s one of those displays where the closer you look, the more you notice. One of the first sections that surprised us was the model train area. I’m not a train nerd, but it was pretty neat—there are multiple themed setups (including a Grinch vibe), and we even caught Thomas coming through the tunnel. We also stepped into the greenhouse/tropics area, which was a wild change after being out in 30–39° weather—instant heat, humidity, and even a little “rain” effect that made it feel like we were in Avatar. We also talk cost and expectations: our tickets were about $49 each, plus $15 for parking, so it can easily turn into a $150–$200 date night once you add dinner. For us, the absolute best part was the canopy walk at the end—string lights synced to music on a loop, and it was genuinely beautiful to just sit and watch.
