About This Video

In this video, I review the Plextone R1 RGB gaming headphones and do a quick mic test, all from a budget-tech perspective. I start with the price—around RM30—which is honestly a very, very affordable range for a gaming headphone. Then I go through the “RGB” situation: it’s not rotating RGB effects, but static, individually lit LED colors. For the price, getting any lights at all is already not bad. Next, I talk comfort and daily use. The R1 has a thickened air cushion headband and a weight reduction design, and the whole headset is about 270g, so it’s comfortable for longer gaming or work sessions. My main concern is the ear cups are a bit thick, so they can get hot quicker if you wear them for really long hours. For sound, you’re getting dual 50mm drivers and surround support—especially useful in FPS games for differentiating direction. Audio is quite decent for RM30, though I do wish it was punchier. I also cover the 2m+ cable setup (3.5mm for audio + mic, plus USB to power the lights), then I wrap up with who it’s for: anyone building a PC on a tight budget who just needs something that gets the job done.
