In this video, I review the Haylou W1 wireless earbuds and break everything down the way I always do—starting with the price. The Haylou W1 comes in at around 130 Malaysian Ringgit (roughly 30 USD), and for that money, you’re getting a surprisingly premium-looking pair of earbuds. I talk about the IPX4 water resistance rating too: it’ll handle light rain and sweat, but I wouldn’t shower with it and definitely wouldn’t swim with it. Also, keep in mind the IPX4 rating is only for the earbuds, not the charging case. I also go into the design and sound experience. The white and chrome finish looks stylish, and the ergonomic shape makes it something I’d actually use as a daily driver. For audio, it’s running the Qualcomm 3040 chipset with aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC support, plus a Knowles balanced armature and dual dynamic drivers—so you get nice detail up top while keeping the bass and mids mellow. Battery is solid at up to 6 hours per charge and 20 hours total with the case, and I’m happy it charges via USB-C. I include a real mic test in a controlled environment, and I wrap up with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity improvements—overall, I think the Haylou W1 is a great buy even though you’re missing wireless charging.
