In this video, I reviewed the Asus ROG Strix Scope RX mechanical gaming keyboard, and before anything else I gave you guys what you’re probably here for—an actual sound test. Price-wise, it starts around RM450 (roughly USD100). It might sound a bit pricey for some, but I always tell people to think long term with mechanical keyboards because a good one can last you years, so pick based on the work (and games) you actually do. The Scope RX is a full-size keyboard with a numpad, an alloy top cover, and a sturdy build with a nice weight to it. It uses ROG’s in-house RX Red linear optical switches with 4.0mm travel and a hollow square stem design, and it’s aimed at gamers who want lower latency—this one is rated at 1ms response time. You also get IP56 water and dust resistance (still, don’t bring liquids near your peripherals), per-key RGB with very even lighting, Aura Sync support, and a USB 2.0 passthrough. Function-wise it covers the basics like Windows key lock, media controls, and macro profiles (up to five). The most unique feature for me is the “Stealth Key” that instantly minimizes everything and cuts audio—basically instant privacy. My main tip: because it’s full size, it can make a small or medium desk feel cramped, so plan your setup first.
