In this video, I take a look at an AR Windows concept for “Windows 12 Mobile” and react to it the same way I’d review a real product: what feels good, what feels off, and where the design needs polish. Right away, I’m catching a lot of Android DNA in the home screen and widgets, while the “Windows Phone” vibe mostly shows up in the tile/menu ideas and the general attempt to mix Microsoft’s Fluent-style icons with mobile patterns. My biggest takeaway is that the concept has some genuinely good ideas, but the inconsistencies hold it back. I call out spacing issues everywhere (especially in the quick settings/menu areas), mismatched corner radiuses (square search box sitting inside rounded notification UI), and a weather widget implementation that feels messy with search jammed into it. On the app side, the media player looks way too busy to be believable, and I think the browser should take more direct cues from modern Edge. That said, I do like some transitions, the dark mode wallpaper shift, and the multiple accounts idea—plus the “emoji PIN” and app locking concept is a fun touch. If the creator tightened spacing, alignment, and visual rules, I could honestly see this evolving into an Android launcher-style project.
