In this video I’m reviewing and doing a flip-through of a high school nonfiction writing curriculum called The Power in Your Hands. I walk you through what it looks like from a homeschool mom perspective—what you’re actually getting in the Teacher’s Guide versus the Student Text—and I share the kind of things I look for before I commit to a writing program for my girls. I start with my overall thoughts, then I go section by section in the Teacher’s Guide (so you can see how it’s laid out and how it supports you as the parent/teacher). After that, I flip through the Student Text so you can see the student-facing pages and how the lessons are presented. If you’re trying to figure out whether this could work for your high schooler, this video is meant to help you decide based on what’s inside—especially if you like to see curriculum before you buy.
