In this video I’m working through two super annoying issues on my Brother CS5055: thread bunching underneath the fabric (that bird’s nest situation) and the top thread pulling/tugging while I’m sewing. I show you what it looks like when it’s happening, and then I walk you step-by-step through the fixes that got my stitches back to normal. If you’re in the middle of a project and your machine suddenly starts acting up, this is the kind of troubleshooting I do before I panic and assume something is “broken.” I also point you to my other CS5055 videos because, honestly, a lot of these problems come right back to threading. If the upper thread isn’t seated correctly, or the bobbin/threading path is off, you’ll see it immediately in your stitch quality.
