Natural consequences teach toddlers best with logical being the second choice. Because young toddlers don't have fully developed imaginations yet, how we design logical consequences must be different from that of older children. Montessori positive discipline depends on freedom within limits. Natural/logical consequences are a fundamental part of this approach.
