About This Video

In this video I’m testing the BougeRV CRX2 powered cooler after getting early access and running it for about three months. It’s not sponsored, but I did receive the cooler in exchange for feedback and making this video—so my goal is simple: give you the clearest idea of what you’re actually getting. I walk through what’s in the box, the exterior layout (including the wheels, handles, vents, and top controls), and the battery compartment that can hold up to two batteries. I also cover the interior space, the removable divider, the auto-detect dual zone feature, the light, and the drain. From my real-world use, performance has been excellent. It cools fast enough that I don’t feel the need to pre-chill it, and I really like the flexibility of running it as a dual zone fridge/freezer or as one larger compartment when the divider is removed. I also tested battery life on an 11-hour day trip without pre-chilling (about half full, low 60s outside): Battery 1 died and Battery 2 was still around 75%. The app works, but I don’t find it that useful—what I actually wanted was battery percentage in the app. One important “gotcha”: the batteries do not charge while the cooler is plugged into AC/DC, so you have to charge the batteries separately.
