I also break down the stuff you feel every day: design and weight (the ExpertBook being under a kilo is wild), battery life (some Panther Lake laptops are great, but M5’s “same performance on battery” consistency is still unmatched), fan noise, and displays (Apple’s mini-LED is still the reference for color, but Windows OLED hardware is ahead right now). And then there’s the “sort of” part: Windows 11. The hardware is back, but the OS experience—with ads, bloat, and Copilot everywhere—can actively work against the user.
